On the morning of June 12, 2018, the College of Chemical Engineering, overseas Chinese University, the Limulus (IUCN) population Survival Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Fujian Provincial Association for the Promotion of Marine Ecological Civilization, Taiwan Wetland Society, Quanzhou Wetland Society co-organized the China Limulus Scientific release and Conservation Seminar in E5-402 Multimedia classroom of Xiamen Campus of overseas Chinese University. The seminar invited the Taiwan Academia Sinica, the Taiwan Wetland Society, Xiamen University, Jimei University, Qinzhou University, the South China Sea Fisheries Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fisheries Sciences, Fuzhou Xinbei biochemical Industry Co., Ltd., and the Fuzhou Qixin Biological Research Institute, Xiamen Limulus reagent Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Xiamen Crocodile Island, (IUCN) Limulus population Survival Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Fujian Provincial Association for the Promotion of Marine Ecological Civilization and Quanzhou Wetland Society, experts and scholars from more than 10 units and groups on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Entrepreneurs and natural education base leaders attended.

Under the slogan of "Save the Chinese Limulus, I am the Actor", the symposium studied the scientific release and conservation of the marine living fossils of the Chinese Limulus with an open mind. Ten special guests focused on the opportunities and challenges of proliferation, release and conservation of the Chinese Limulus, the tracking and monitoring of the release of the Chinese Limulus, the development of the embryo of the Chinese Limulus, the contribution of the TAL reagent to human beings and the protection of the TAL resources. The development of TAL industry in China and the environmental protection needs of conservation of TAL resources, the dream of building a natural education base on Crocodile Island, the public publicity activities of protecting TAL in Fujian Province, and the progress of TAL proliferation and release in Fujian Province. College students follow the "Limulus" volunteer service program to make a report.

臺(tái)灣中研院陳章波研究員對大陸、臺(tái)灣、香港的中國鱟研究力量和保育推動(dòng)力量的歷史沿革進(jìn)行了分析和鼓勵(lì)，IUCN鱟種群存續(xù)委員會(huì)專家、廣西欽州學(xué)院關(guān)杰耀博士結(jié)合對鱟習(xí)性的長期研究積累對鱟苗放流技術(shù)進(jìn)行科學(xué)指引、廈門大學(xué)底棲生物專家蔡立哲教授對中國鱟放流跟蹤監(jiān)測作了濱海生態(tài)環(huán)境監(jiān)測和鱟資源監(jiān)測方面的實(shí)踐規(guī)劃，集美大學(xué)翁朝紅教授對中國鱟的胚胎發(fā)育研究成果作了分享，中國水產(chǎn)科學(xué)研究院南海水產(chǎn)研究所頡曉勇副研究員對中國鱟的繁育技術(shù)及廣東機(jī)遇作了分享，廈門鱷魚嶼第二代守島人林大聲先生對鱷魚嶼作為自然教育基地建設(shè)設(shè)想作了報(bào)告。我司董事長丁友玲闡述了主題為“鱟試劑對人類的貢獻(xiàn)與鱟資源保護(hù)”的發(fā)言。丁友玲董事長從鱟法的發(fā)展史、鱟試劑應(yīng)用的發(fā)展史、鱟對人類的貢獻(xiàn)和價(jià)值以及最后呼吁大家如何保護(hù)鱟資源等全面地分析了鱟的現(xiàn)狀，更加明確了中國鱟資源所具有的國家戰(zhàn)略性生物資源重要特質(zhì)和地位。

研討會(huì)對海峽兩岸活化石中國鱟的研究力與保育推廣力進(jìn)行新時(shí)期的整合，并擬定“救中國鱟 我是行動(dòng)者”廈門宣言初稿，本次研討會(huì)目的在于整合保育瀕危海洋生物活化石中國鱟相關(guān)的科研、教育、企業(yè)、國際和境內(nèi)外NGO力量，有效推動(dòng)海峽兩岸對保護(hù)濱海濕地生態(tài)家園、保育海洋活化石中國鱟的力度。
